AWGE is a creative collective founded by American rapper A$AP Rocky , operating across music, video, and fashion. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection, "Obligatory Fashion," is a conceptual collection that fuses social satire with street pride. The inspiration comes from Rocky's own legal battles and his roots in Harlem, New York. Set in a church, the collection recreates a surveillance society and a courtroom with metal detectors and SWAT-style staging. The theme is "resistance to the uniforms and labels imposed by society." "Institutional clothing," such as judge's gown-style jackets and lawyer's suits, is boldly intertwined with street culture. Tracksuits and bulletproof vests inscribed with "NOT GUILTY" appeared on the runway. This challenging collection sends a strong message of "not succumbing to state power or stereotypes, and defining our own identity," elevating oppression into luxury.
