CAVEMPT × SHIRT
CAVEMPT is a street fashion brand founded in Japan in 2011. The brand name is taken from the Latin phrase " Caveat Emptor " (Buyer Beware) that appears in Philip K. Dick's book "Ubik." The founders are SK8THING , Toby Feltwell , and Yutaka Hishiyama, and they are known for their unique graphic design and streetwear style.
The 26SS collection is based on the theme of "perceptual gaps" in today's ever-changing society. The sense of discomfort created by elements such as an increasingly fast-paced information environment, a fragmented reality, and the asynchrony between technology and human physical sensations is expressed through graphics, cutting, and the use of materials. Rather than presenting a clear story or answer, the collection employs visuals and structures that deliberately defy understanding, questioning the wearer's own senses and thoughts. Even in the spring/summer season, when lightness is required, the collection incorporates expressions that incorporate noise and imbalance, presenting a new reality in today's world, where the boundary between reality and fiction has become blurred.
