DINGYUN ZHANG is a fashion brand founded in 2021 by Chinese designer Dingyun Zhang after graduating from Central Saint Martins in London. The brand is known for its innovative silhouettes and bold designs, and uses three-dimensional pattern making to develop a unique style that combines functionality and fashion.

The AW25 collection, titled "PLAYFORM," is comprised of an experimental approach that blends playfulness with structure. The collection name combines the words "play" and "form," reflecting the designer's approach to reinterpreting clothing through sculptural play rather than simply viewing it as functional or formally structured. This collection draws inspiration from the designer's childhood memories of action figures. The exaggerated proportions of the character shapes and moving parts are translated into the shapes of the clothing, resulting in bold, unconventional silhouettes. Items incorporating outdoor and sports elements, such as windbreakers, lightweight puffer coats, and ski pants, are featured, pursuing both practicality and sculptural style.

The designs, while maintaining an experimental spirit, remain wearable, embodying the brand's forward-looking aesthetic. PLAYFORM is a challenge to find a new balance between playfulness and form, presenting previously unknown silhouettes and functionality through fashion.
