Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO × AUTRY × SHOES

This groundbreaking collaboration marks the dynamic intersection of Eastern and Western cultures. Born from a partnership between AUTRY and renowned Japanese designer Yasuhiro Mihara, the collection fuses the heritage and philosophies of both brands. The foundation of the collaboration is AUTRY's iconic "Medalist" model, the original tennis shoe born in Texas in 1982 that spearheaded the sportswear scene of the 1980s. Its clean, minimalist design has earned it acclaim in numerous specialist publications and is known as a symbol of "timeless, universal style."

This universal canvas was then layered with Mihara's unique creative philosophy. At the heart of his footwear line, General Scale, is an exploration of the relationship between time and materials. For this project, the upper design of the Medalist was retained, but the midsole was handcrafted using clay to add a sculptural texture. This respects the timeless essence of AUTRY, while expressing the raw energy of the material and the passage of time. Mihara said, "I hoped that by adding this co-branded sneaker design to my runway, everyone would understand this metaphor."

More than just fashion pieces, this special collection tells a story woven by materials, time and culture, dedicated to all those who step outside the fashion cycle and seek essential beauty.
