MASTERMIND is a Japanese fashion brand founded in 1997 by Masaaki Homma and Masahiro Fujita. The brand name combines "mastermind" (a person who is talented at one thing) and "Japan". The name was chosen with the aim of spreading Japan's high technology to the world. mastermind JAPAN is characterized by its casual yet luxurious designs, and is particular about materials and craftsmanship. Under the theme "LOVE & PEACE" set for each season, it always maintains an attitude of aiming for "The Best". Representative design elements include careful embroidery, high-quality denim, and materials that utilize traditional Japanese techniques, and the skull is known as the trademark. Since 2001, the brand has participated in exhibitions in Paris and Las Vegas, increasing its international recognition, but suspended its activities with the 2013 Spring/Summer collection. However, from the 2017 Autumn/Winter season, it launched a new line called "MASTERMIND WORLD" and resumed collection development. Furthermore, the company has expanded into a wide range of activities, including launching a ladies' line in 2007.

Both mastermind JAPAN 25AW "NOBILITY" and Mastermind WORLD 25AW "DAYDREAM" are centered around the brand's iconic skull and crossbone motif, but each has a different concept and approach to create a fascinating collection.
