Mowalola × JERSEY・TRACK PANTS

Mowalola is a London-based fashion brand founded in 2018 by Nigerian designer Mowalola Ogunlesi. The brand's design concept blends Nigerian culture with urban decadence, drawing inspiration from pop culture and 1970s counterculture. In particular, it shows influences from music icons Prince and André 3000, and is characterized by a sensual and bold style.

The Spring/Summer 2026 collection is set in a near future where the boundaries between digital and physical are blurred, and it celebrates imperfection. As an antithesis to perfect AI creations, it deliberately uses distorted silhouettes and unfinished details, elevating the uniquely human "bugs (glitches)" into a new virtue, and provocatively re-examining the transformation of identity in today's overly connected society. This work intersects colors reminiscent of Nigerian roots with the decadent beauty of 90s cyberpunk. Her message, which rejects categorization and argues that true humanity resides in system errors, has a powerful impact in an era of increasing division.
