WESTFALL × VEST

WESTFALL is a Los Angeles-based fashion brand created by artist Brett Westfall. His work is inspired by personal experiences, nature, the environment, and society, and is expressed through a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, and installation.

The AW25 collection, "Hostile Architecture," explores the contrast between the oppressive design lurking in cities and the free self-expression of their inhabitants. Inspired by "hostile architecture," where benches are often divided to make sitting uncomfortable, the collection offers streetwear that fuses punk-inspired rebelliousness with art, countering the impersonal and unfriendly urban landscape. Designer Brett Westfall, an artist whose diverse artistic practice spans painting and sculpture, once again utilizes his own hand-drawn illustrations and dyeing techniques to elevate clothing into art pieces. Items include shirts and sweatshirts with a remade feel, deconstructed and reconstructed from vintage pieces, hoodies layered with vibrant paint, and patchwork-style jackets, combining relaxed street-style silhouettes with the unique texture of handcrafted work. Based on an urban monotone palette, the collection's color palette, accented with blues and pinks, adds a new depth to the collection.
