Both works feature a grid design in the background.
This is a quote from the "Screen Painting of Trees, Flowers, Birds, and Animals," which is said to be a work by Ito Jakuchu.

Ito Jakuchu's illustrations involve drawing a grid of squares, placing colors, and creating a background.
The animals in the foreground are all represented in a grid pattern, and Takashi Murakami only uses a grid for the background of his own works.
The flowers in the foreground are depicted using line drawings rather than a grid.

Among the differences between two works by Ito Jakuchu,
These sibling works by Takashi Murakami capture the fluctuations in the artist's emotions during the creative process, as well as the changing zeitgeist.
